Puffbot Was Here: Freezing Genting Handcheck

In case you didn't know by now, vaping in sub-twenty degrees (celsius) temperatures is an unspeakably awesome experience.

So on Xmas, I went up to Genting with the romantic companion and you couldn't see anything more than 10 meters in front of you. Signs showed the temperature to be around 17.3 °C.

The wind was blowing hard making the temperatures feel even more insanely low than it already is.

So if you're a vaper in Malaysia, and you haven't tried vaping in these temperatures, give it a go!

Indigo: Pop My Cherry

Indigo, subtitled Pop My Cherry, is one of the juices in my subscription box for the month of December. It doesn't mention where it originates from but I'm going to assume that vapeclubmy's subscription box gives me mainly locally (Malaysian) brewed juices.

It comes in a very nice matte-surface bottle which comes equipped with a dropper. Fancy.

Flavor

The bottle says that it is a Premium Vape Liquid and also an All-Day-Vape. It also describes the flavor as a 'good old-fashioned sarsaparilla with a dash of cherry' which I cannot put it any better myself. So basically cherry sarsi.

The flavor is very mild in terms of fruitiness and mintyness. It's very pleasant tasting and I don't think I've tasted anything else like this. A good ol' mellow juice for your chillout sessions.

Ratio

This juice is a  50/50 PG/VG blend so most tanks will accept it.

Nicotine

This juice contains 6mg of nicotine but compared to other 6mg juices, this doesn't give you a sudden rush from the nicotine. Not sure why that is but it is nice to get a gradual relaxing feeling instead of a sudden urge to collapse to the floor and kill yourself.

Power Settings

With the standard review settings of 3.2V (20.5W at 0.5 Ohms), the vape tastes mild and pleasant. Increasing the wattage naturally increases the flavor but I never found myself needing to do that as the default review settings already gives a nice balanced flavor.

Overall Experience

Indigo: Pop My Cherry is a nice mellow juice to vape to when you're generally relaxing and just feeling mellow. It doesn't hit hard like other juices (which I sometimes use as Wake-up Juice) and gives me the impression that it should be vaped in a generally upper-class setting like your friend's posh garden patio.

Big Bully #bpkkaubiru

Interesting name for a juice. Let's break it down. It says 'bpk' 'kau' 'biru'

'bpk' is presumed to be a short form for 'bapak' which just means 'father'. 'bpk kau' in Malay is a common term generally used for playfully insulting one of your friends until they cry. Or a general term colloquially also used as a 'no fucking way' kind of context.

There's not much to say about this juice except for the fact that it tastes a lot like Kryptic.

It is one of the juices that came in my subscription box from vapeclubmy.com for the month of December.

Flavor

On the bottle, the label describes the flavor to be grape slurpee. However, as I mentioned before, it tastes like Kryptic, so in a sense, this juice tastes like strawberry. It is not as strong as Kryptic's so if Kryptic is a little too flavorful for you, #bpkkaubiru is for you.

It is also relatively minty and gives a nice cool feel in the throat. Compared to Kryptic, this doesn't chill the throat as crazily as Kryptic does. So if Kryptic is too chilly for your tastes, get #bpkkaubiru.

Ratio

On the bottle, you will find that it says 60/40 PG/VG mixture. So it's a flavor oriented kinda juice.

Nicotine

This juice contains 6mg of nicotine and just about a minute of chain vaping, the nicotine goes right up there quite quickly.

Power Settings

With the standard review settings of 3.2V (20.5W at 0.5 Ohms), the vape feels cool and minty and the flavor is pleasant and not overbearing.

Overall Experience

#bpkkaubiru is a nice fruity vape for when you want a mild yet minty vape. It has a nice balance of flavor and mintiness and does not overwhelm you as much as Kryptic would.

AJ Vape: Mango Blackcurrant

A juice I got while roaming around Centrepoint, Bandar Utama. Was hungry for some mango flavors (and to counter the brain-freezing effects of Ice Mango Lime) when I stopped by WowowVape in Centrepoint where they very kindly allowed the tasting of plenty of flavors.

My so called solution to the brain-freezing antics of Ice Mango Lime.
This abomination is impossible to vape on it's own.

Flavor

This juice is supposed to be a mango blackcurrant mix but the flavors of both seem to come up short. It's best described as a mainly blackcurrant flavored juice with very mild mango flavoring. Not sure when you would want a juice which is that mild. Maybe when you're stealth-vaping?

Ratio

It doesn't say on the bottle but I'm guessing it is a 50/50 PG/VG mixture since the consistency of the juice seems pretty runny.

Nicotine

It says Low on the bottle and the throat hit is pretty non-existant so I'm going to guess it has around 3mg of nicotine for this particular juice.

Power Settings

With the standard review settings of 3.2V (20.5W at 0.5 Ohms), the vape feels warm and generally unremarkable. Increasing the wattage doesn't improve the flavor by much and it just gets a bit hotter.

Overall Experience

This juice turns out to be quite unremarkable for me. Flavor is tame, throat hit is also tame. Recommend bringing a mixer to vape this juice. Rude Beer and Ice Mango Lime are suitable candidates to enhance the flavor of this juice.

Kryptic

Hi. This is the first bottle of juice that I will review. The review system is still a work-in-progress so do not be alarmed if the system gets streamlined in the future!

The Kryptic bottle in all it's cryptozoological glory. This's what Tasmanian Tigers taste like. Say that 5 times fast.

Kryptic is one of the five juices I received through the Vapeclub Malaysia monthly subscription box. I'm no stranger to the Kryptic as I have been recommended to it by various local retailers in the past. (due to my preferential treatment towards minty and fruity juices)

Flavor

It doesn't mention the exact flavor on the bottle, but the closest thing I can attribute the taste of Kryptic to is some kind of strawberry. The flavor is sweet and strong and is perhaps enhanced by the generous amount of mint or some other derivative of mentholy flavor.

The mint flavor is quite strong and you can definitely feel it tickle your throat, but not brain-freezing like Ice Mango Lime or Freezing Dew. I suppose you could compare Kryptic's mintiness level to the likes of Rude Beer.

Nicotine

The label says that we have 6mg of nicotine to deal with here. Compared to other juices which claim to have 6mg of nicotine, this one seems to achieve "the hit" quicker and more effectively than others.

Power Settings

I personally am unable to chain vape this juice at the standard review setting at 3.2V (20.5W at 0.5 Ohms) on the Subtank Mini due to how quickly the nicotine hits.

Toning the wattage down to 13-15W is the sweet spot for me. Vape any higher and the nicotine will get to my head causing mamak-chair-bending fatigue for the next 15 minutes.

Of course, all individuals have different nicotine tolerances so, your mileage (kilometre-age for us under the protection of the British Crown) may vary.

Overall Experience

Overall I enjoyed the Kryptic. Its strong fruity flavor with its strong minty taste is good for a "waking up" session if you're sleepy but it also may help you sleep as its nicotine hit can help you melt into the bed during those sleepless nights.

Vapeclub Malaysia's Subscription Box

This here is my Loot Crate. Simply put, I get a box of four bottles of random juices delivered to me every month.

You may notice that there are actually FIVE bottles. Can you not count, Puffbot?
This month, when receiving the very first subscription box, I was also given a free gift, in this case, it was the Twelve Monkeys's Mangabeys.

The neat little packaging which has soft hay-like packing contained within
The entire package comes very well presented with an artsy-indie-box design and some hay-like soft packing material.

Despite the belief that courier services constantly KICK your packages repeatedly until it correctly flies into your mailbox, my package arrived safe and sound and only took a single day.

This month's selection consists of the brands Big Bully; #bpkkaubiru (your father is blue), Kryptic, Cendol Melaka (famous dessert), Indigo; Pop My Cherry (!) and the aforementioned Twelve Monkeys.

Look forward to reviews of these juices!

Welcome to Puffbot!

Hi. I'm the Puffbot.

I've been put into a situation in which I've been given access to a BUTT-load of various Malaysian (and non-Malaysian) e-liquid or vape juices and have decided that reviewing these vape juices are going to be a thing which I will have fun doing.

A taste of things to come. Hehe play on words.

Review Device

The device with which I will use to review the various incoming juices will be the ever dependable Kangertech Subtank Mini at the standard voltage of 3.2 V at 0.5 Ω with 20.5 W of wattage.

Again, that's:
  • Subtank Mini (Subox white version)
  • 3.2 Volts
  • 0.5 Ω
  • 20.5 Watts
The Review Device chilling in Taiwan.
I will be using a standard wicking method which looks like this:

This is supposed to be a picture of the wick but I haven't taken a picture of it yet so have a picture of some milk of the goat instead.
I'm using this wicking method due to the lack of leaks and the superb juice absorption properties which it possesses.

If you have any suggestions or just comments, let me know! Stay tuned!

Puffbot Was Here: X-Wing

People lining up to get a picture of themselves with the X-Wing.
I'm not even sure why they call it an X-Wing when the wings are not deployed in the X position. You'd think that they would construct an X-Wing with the signature "X wing", but they didn't. Ok nitpick over.
